EKES offer a significant thermal analysis capability. Experienced in both 2D and 3D analysis techniques, EKES personnel act at the forefront of transient thermal analysis modelling.

Transient Response Plot

Both empirical correlations alongside CFD derived expressions are utilised to model the interaction between fluids and the adjacent components, with conduction paths, both natural and forced convection and radiation all taken into consideration.

Predicted Gaps and Closures

EKES also incorporate into their analysis capability the use of the optimisation package iSIGHT to improve the thermal responses of component and assemblies.

Coupling the transient thermal modelling with mechanical modelling allows time dependant movements to be assessed. EKES offer considerable experience in optimisation of seal configurations where both mechanical loads and heat inputs dictate the effectiveness of the arrangement.
